Historically , thevillage was first mentioned in 1247. in this period, it belonged to Abov (Abó) family local branch. It’s name derive from Slovak personal Bosk. In 1427 it belonged to Frank family ofŠemša . In 1447 the village was bought by the captainPeter from theZips (Spiš ) county. In 1580 it belonged toMyslava town, and in this period the exploitation of local woods began. From 1939 to 1944 it belonged toHungary .Geography
