Sandra Kerr (born February 14, 1942) is an English folk musician.
Sandra Kerr was born in
Plaistow, Newham , London. She was a member ofThe Critics Group from 1963 to 1972.She sings and plays Englishconcertina ,guitar ,appalachian dulcimer andautoharp .Together with John Faulkner she wrote the music for the TV series "
Bagpuss " in which she was the voice of Madeleine Remnant (therag doll ) and was involved in many programmes forBBC Children's Radio , including "The Music Box" and "The Listening Corner".More recently she has been singing with her daughter
Nancy Kerr , and in the groups Sisters Unlimited and Voice Union. Her work has developed to include teaching and leading workshops and directs two folk choirs, Wercasfolk and VoiceMale.Discography
