Scanners Discotheque

The Scanners Discotheque is a nightclub in Valdivia, Chile, at Geneal Lagos street. It is called the "national capital of perreo". It is also often referred as "La Chaner". It was opened in the 90's, at the river side of the city. Though the club was billed as a discothèque, meaning only recordings with no bands, the Scanners Discotheque use to be visited by several musical bands including Alejandro Silva, Chancho en Piedra, Pandemia, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The actual DJ have a long international career, in Europe and South America, he use to focus the rhythms in sofisticated techno and reggaeton. The discotheque used to have a lot of Go-Go dancers which are known as "Las Chanas" (Chaners).
