Stephen O'Flynn (born April 27, 1982 in Mallow, County Cork, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer who is unattached.

He previously played for Derry City F.C. of the Football League of Ireland after a deadline day capture from Cork City F.C.. O'Flynn was very impressive with Limerick FC earlier in his career. Having re-signed for Cork City the following season, he was sidelined for most of the season through injury.

The move north to Derry City FC reignited his career and he weighed in with several key goals for Derry City including a winner against IFK Goteborg in the UEFA Cup in August 2006 [http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/irish/5222524.stm] [www.youtube.com/watch?v=aycoYXfmOMw] .

O'Flynn has also been capped for Ireland at under-age levels and spent time at Wimbledon F.C. before his move back to the League of Ireland. At 6' 2", O'Flynn added an aerial and physical threat which had been missing from the Derry City attack. However, by the end of the 2006 eircom League season, O'Flynn was Stephen Kenny's fourth choice striker due to the fine displays from those around him depriving him of a regular starting place in the side. When Pat Fenlon took over at Derry, he was deemed surplus to requirements and was released by the club on 14 December, 2006. He was soon snapped up by Galway United F.C. in preparation for their 2007 season.
