XL Airways Germany is a charter airline based in Mörfelden, Germany. It is part of the XL Airways brand and has sister companies in France, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

On 11 September 2008, BBC News Channel reported that XL Leisure Group had filed for administration, although initially Simon Calder confirmed the group's website was still taking bookings, the group folded the next morining

Nevertheless XL Airways Germany and XL Airways France, former subsidiaries of XL Leisure Group continue to operate as independent airlines.

XL went bankrupt due to rising fuel prices.
