Jocelyn Godefroi (1880,
Kensington –30 March ,1969 [Notice in "The Times", 1 April 1969] ) was a translator.Educated at Haileybury College and
Trinity College, Oxford , he worked for theLord Chamberlain's Office for over four decades. He translated several works ofFrench literature into English, notablyGabriel Chevallier 's comic novel "Clochemerle " andJulian Green 's journals.References
