Athens ,Greece , located about 5 km NW of the downtown area. The municipality is bordered by theCephissus /Cephissos River, Athinon Avenue (GR-8),Chaidari in the west andPetroupoli in the northwest, with a size of around convert|10|km2|sqmi|0|abbr=on. The area includes the northern half of theAthens Industrial Area , with its main streets taking in Ethnikis Antistaseos Street and P. Tsaldari Street. Athens Bus Terminal is in the east, slightly east of Peristeri itself, along with its nearest station inSepolia , a part of Athens. An metro station opened in 2004 in Peristeri, named Aghios Antonios due to its location near the Aghios Antonios (Saint Anthony) church.
