"The East Carolinian" is the student newspaper of East Carolina University in Greenville, NC USA. It is entirely student-run and independent from the university. "The East Carolinian" dates back to Dec. 1925. The ECU Student Media Board "provides oversight and direction to the student newspaper" [ [http://www.ecu.edu/cs-studentlife/universityunions/studentmedia/mediaboard.cfm Student Media Board ] ] The paper has a circulation of over 24,000, published every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the fall and spring semesters.

Content

"The East Carolinian" prints coverage for its Tuesday and Thursday editions on News, Features, Sports, Opinion, Pirate Rants, Crosswords, Sudoku, Horoscopes, etc. Recently, Wednesday editions of the TEC have ceased because there is now a special art and entertainment magazine, called Pulse. Pulse comes out on every third Wednesday of the month.

Operations

"The East Carolinian" goes to press two issues per week in the fall and spring semesters, and once a week during the summer.
