FlareBrands Limited is a limited liability company based in London in the United Kingdom that designs and manufactures travel safety products for consumers.

FlareBrands Limited [http://www.flarebrands.com] was established in 2004 by David Potter and Robert Carmichael, two experienced backpackers.

After reading about a number of hostel and hotel fires in which guests died or were injured, they decided to design a portable smoke detector. They added the functions of an LED flashlight/torch and an attack alarm, and the result was a device called "FlareSafe" which was launched in the United Kingdom in 2006.
