The Swear is an Atlanta rock band founded by former Alastor songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Elizabeth Elkins.

Their debut album "Every Trick's A Good One" (Jan 2006) had six songs "Last Breath", "Letters Faded", "January", "List", "Chicago" and "The Sleep Inside." The cover artwork is by Jacksonville, Florida-based mixed-media artist Dennis Campay. [ [http://www.campaystudios.com Dennis Campay - Home ] ] The album was produced by Russ-T Cobb and mastered by Howie Weinberg, known for his work on Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Jeff Buckley's "Grace". The CD went on to win numerous press top album of the year awards, despite its independent release status.Fact|date=February 2007. The Swear's songs have appeared on F/X's "Rescue Me", The WB's "Smallville", The WB's "Roswell" Season One DVD, FOX's "Reunion", TNT's "Wanted", ABC's "Life As We Know It", The Discovery Channel's "Outward Bound", and many MTV programs.Fact|date=February 2007

The band's first full length came out August 26, 2008. Titled "Hotel Rooms and Heart Attacks" it includes songs recorded with producers Ted Niceley, Matt Goldman and Jeff Tomei. It was mixed by Eli Janney.
