Sarpy County, Nebraska Sheriff's Department

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Department is primary law enforcement agency with jurisdiction in Sarpy County, Nebraska. Its current Sheriff is Jeff Davis.

Sarpy County is divided into 9 Patrol Districts, covering a total of 236 square miles. The city limits of Bellevue, Papillion and La Vista are not regularly patrolled by the Sheriff's Department, although deputies can and do conduct law enforcement activities, such as traffic stops, within those cities. Each of those cities has its own Police Department. The cities of Gretna and Springfield regularly contract with the Sheriff's Department for patrol coverage. Deputies are responsible for activities and calls within these patrol districts.
