The car was considered as a commercial failure mainly because the engine size being too small for the car's length and weight which often lead to the car not being well controlled. Renault finished the production of the car in the year 1932. The Monasix was the first vehicle Renault with a engine six cilinders, the Paris taxi company purchased very much Monasix, 5000 taxi version was assembly, until 1962 was saw the last taxi in Paris of this model.

In competition the Monasix race in the Morocco Rally in 1928.

The Monastella version was a uppgraded version of Monasix, more luxury.

In 1932 ceased the production and the car is remplacent by the Renault Monaquatre.
