Listing = UltraIchinsky is a large
stratovolcano located in the central part ofKamchatka Peninsula ,Russia . It is by far the highest peak of theSredinny Range , the central range of the peninsula. Ichinsky is also among the largest volcanoes in Kamchatka, with a volume of about Unit cubic kilometre|450|-1|lk=on.The volcano is capped by a 3 x 5 km (2 x 3 mile) summit
caldera , within which rise twolava dome s which are the highest peaks. The entire summit area is covered by a substantialice cap , and several largeglacier s descend the flanks of the cone. There is ongoingfumarolic activity within the caldera.A dozen more
dacite andrhyodacite lava domes are found on the flanks of the volcano below the caldera rim.Basalt ic and daciticlava flow s extand form the lower flanks, some as long as 10–15 km (6–9 miles).References
