bat species from South andCentral America ."C. perspicillata" dwells in both moist evergreen and dry deciduous forests, usually below 1,000 meters altitude, typically roosting in groups of 10-100 bats in caves, hollow trees, tunnels, and road culverts. It feeds on a least 50 different species of fruit, as well as pollen and insects.
