"Symptoms of Humanity" is the fourth album from East Los Angeles, California hardcore punk band, Union 13.

It was released in November, 2003 on Disaster Records and follows the 2000 album, "Youth, Betrayal and the Awakening".

After recording three successful albums for the Epitaph Records label, the band encountered line-up problems – which had actually started on "Youth, Betrayal and the Awakening" where José Mercado had to carry out lead and rhythm guitar duties as well as bass – and this time lost vocalist Edward Escoto.

It took the band three years for their follow-up to be released, although they had started recording material straight away, and bassist Rudy Ramos was called up to swell the ranks. José Mercado and drummer, Louie Villareal, assumed vocal spots.

In spite of these problems, the band were still able to carry out high profile tours of the United States.
