Ken Cunningham broadcasts in a manner that has often raised the ire of many listeners. His comments are often biased and opinionated and he occasionally displays bouts of memory loss regarding comments that he has made. This particular style of broadcasting often attracts a hostile reaction from listeners who in turn will phone in to register their displeasure. Because of this reputation and his mannerisms, he is often satirised by fellow broadcaster Jon Blake on a weekly comedy skit called Behind Closed Doors (also broadcast on
FIVEaa ).Cam Thompson (Program Director) of
FIVEaa has stated that KG's football broadcasting roles are to be scaled back and this is most likely due to his recent heart problems.References
