Pál Sarudi (born 10 August 1983 in
Szolnok ) is a flatwater canoer fromHungary , competing/competed in the Canadian canoe events.His first major success came at the 2003 European Marathon Championships in
Gdańsk , Poland, where he won the C2 bronze medal with partnerKrisztian Tokar .Since then he has concentrated on the sprint events. In 2005 he won a C4 1000m bronze medal at the European Under-23 Championships in
Plovdiv , Bulgaria. He was also called up to the senior team and competed in the C4 500m at both the European and World Championships, finishing sixth and fifth respectively.In 2006 he again moved down a distance and won the first major sprint medals of his senior career in the C4 200m. At the European Championships, held in
Račice , Czech Republic, he won the silver medal. At the World Championships, the same crew of Sarudi / Joób / Horváth / Balázs won the bronze medal in front of their home fans in the Hungarian city ofSzeged .Sarudi is a member of the
Mezőgép-KGF Canoe Club and is coached byAttila Erdős .
