Siligo is a "comune" (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 160 km north of Cagliari and about 25 km southeast of Sassari. *'Nostra Segnora de Mesumundu': (Our Lady of Mesumundu or Bubalis) [http://www.sardinian.net/sardinia/monuments/churches/Our_Lady_Bubalis_Siligo.htm] built in the byzantine age (6th century A. D.) upon the ruins of a roman baths (2nd century A.D.) and finally the church was modified after 1065 by the Benedictine monks of Montecassino.
