Jacor Communications acquired the radio station along with KAVS and KYHT. KAVL was made as a simulcast of KXTA-AM, "XTRA Sports 1150," inLos Angeles, California . Some of KAVL's programming was simulcast on 1220 AM in Santa Clarita (today KHTS).Sometime after the Jacor/Clear Channel merge, the simulcast ended; since then, KAVL's lineup consists nearly entirely of
Fox Sports Radio programs. However, KAVL also airs theBob & Tom morning show from Indianapolis.Also on KAVL are radio broadcasts of the
