James Henry Brady (born June 12, 1862 in Indiana County, Pennsylvaniandash died January 13, 1918 in Washington, D.C.) was a U.S. politician from the Republican Party. He served as Governor of Idaho from 1909 to 1911 and a United States Senator representing Idaho from 1913 until his death.

Brady was initially appointed by the Idaho Legislature to replace Kirtland I. Perky in the Senate. In 1914 he became the first person elected to the Senate from Idaho by direct popular vote, defeating former Democratic Governor James H. Hawley and a handful of minor party candidates.

Brady's great-grandson, Jerry Brady, was the 2002 and 2006 Democratic candidate for Governor of Idaho.
