- M. Raja
M. Raja, popularly known as Jayam Raja, is a famous and successful director in both
Tollywood andKollywood , theIndia n based film industry. He has done four films, all under his home banner, "Jayam Company". His father , "Mohan", is a veteran producer who started his career in films as an Editor. He is hence popularly known as Editor Mohan. M. Raja's first film was 'Hanuman Junction' in Telugu starring Arjun, Jagapati Babu, Sneha, Laya and Venu. It was a super hit in Telugu. He then turned to Tamil and directed his brother "Jayam Ravi " in four films namely, Jayam, M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi, Something Something Unnakum Ennakum and the recent Santhosh Subramaniyam, all of which are major hits. He is just four films old, but is already a name to reckon with, since Jayam Company and M. Raja have a track record of successive hits which strike a chord with both classes and the masses alike.Although all his films are remakes, they have all done well in the box-office. This is noteworthy since quite a few remake films haven't had many takers in the Kollywood box-office. A couple of examples are Thenkasi Pattanam (which was remade by the same director who filmed the original with the same name in Malayalam) and Aadhi, which had the inimitable Vijay playing the lead. Aadhi was the remake of the superhit Telugu film Athanokade.Filmography
