The station went on the air as WGNG. On 1985-10-31, the station changed its call sign to WICE, on 1995-06-16 to WPNW, on 1997-12-12 to WLKW, on 2000-07-17 back to WICE, and finally on 2001-05-16 to the current WDDZ.
