Lorne Corlett and Arnold Pastrick were a professional wrestling tag team from Winnipeg, Manitoba who used a German heel gimmick and went by the ring names Kurt Von Steiger (Pastrick) and Karl Von Steiger (Corlett). The Von Steigers are best known for competing in Pacific Northwest Wrestling in Portland, Oregon between 1968 and 1973.

Career history

Going by their given names, Corlett and Pastrick started out in the 1960s with Winnipeg's Madison Wrestling Club, where Corlett would win the promotion's heavyweight championship in 1965. Corlett and Pastrick later formed a tag team and, after the Madison Club folded in 1968, they headed to PNW and adopted their famous ring names and gimmick.

While competing in Portland, the Von Steigers engaged in feuds with the Royal Kangaroos (Lord Jonathan Boyd & Norman Frederick Charles III) and the team of Tony Borne and Moondog Mayne. As a solo competitor, Kurt Von Steiger also had feuds with the likes of Mayne, Dutch Savage, Jimmy Snuka and Stan Stasiak.

The Von Steigers' greatest accomplishments as a team would be winning the AWA World Tag Team Championship (while competing in PNW), the San Francisco version of the NWA World Tag Team title, and seven Pacific Northwest Tag Team titles.
