- Iurie Roşca
Iurie Roşca (born31 October 1961 inTeleneşti ) is aMoldova n politician who has served as president of the Christian-Democratic People's Party (PPCD) since 1994.In 1984 he graduated from the journalism faculty of the
State University of Moldova . He then worked as a correspondent for the newspaper "Tinerimea Moldovei" ("The Youth of Moldova"), a reporter for the National Television of Moldova, and an upper-level curator at theDimitrie Cantemir Literature Museum inChişinău . In 1989 he was one of the founders of thePopular Front of Moldova (of which the PPCD is a successor), an organisation whose executive president he was between 1989 and 1994. Since 1994 he has been a deputy in theParliament of the Republic of Moldova , and since 2005 he has been the Parliament's vice-president (a post he also held from 1998 to 2000). He signed as Vice President of the Moldovan Parliament a bilateral agreement in June 2007 with theInternational Parliament for Safety and Peace (see [http://www.international-parliament.net/seite22.htm] ).
