- Cancion de cuna, a 1911 Spanish play by Gregorio Martinez Sierra which became an international hit. It is about a group of nuns who find an abandoned baby girl outside their convent and raise her as their "daughter". It is the only Spanish-language stage play to have been filmed in English during the Golden Age of Hollywood. It has been filmed at least four times in Spanish, most recently in 1994.
