Beresford Stakes

Beresford Stakes

The Beresford Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland open to two-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at the Curragh, and it takes place annually in September or October.

From 1992 to 2002 it was classed as a Group 3 race. Prior to this it had been run at Group 2 level, and it regained this status in 2003.
