Richard de
Villamil (1850-1936) was a British officer and scientist physician).Grandson of
Martin de Villamil (1783-1843), he was at first officer of the British army (India, Jamaica) (1869-1889 at least).As a scientist, he discovered in 1928 the personal archives of
Isaac Newton and wrote in 1931 a book about him : "Newton, The Man", prefaced byAlbert Einstein .Richard de Villamil played a role in the theory of
energetics .Richard de Villamil also wrote "Soaring flights, simple mechanical solution of the problem" (Ed C. Spon, 1920).
