Lilis (View from the Mirror)

Lilis (View from the Mirror)

Lilis is a main character in Ian Irvine's "The View from the Mirror" quartet.

Characteristics

Lilis is a young girl with long platinum coloured hair. Her face is long and pretty, with big eyes. She originally appears as an uneducated waif, whose father Jevi had been taken by a press-gang seven years previously. Initially she spoke in a crude halting manner, however, after being rescued by Tallia from the depraved life style of a child on the streets, Lilis is taken in as the apprentice of Nadiril the head of the great Library at Zile.

Lilis soon learns to speak in a sophisticated, clear manner. She even learns how to read and write properly, a gift that she once thought out of reach. Lilis is also a very good swimmer.
