Milorad Krivokapić (born
January 8 ,1956 inBijela ,Montenegro ) is a retiredwater polo goalkeeper from Montenegro, in the former Yugoslavia. He started his career in local water polo club "Bijela Brodoremont" and then continued at water polo club "Primorac Kotor."He has competed in two
Summer Olympics , in Moscow (1980) where he won a silver medal as a member of Yugoslav water polo team, and inLos Angeles, California in 1984 where the Yugoslav national team won a gold medal after a memorable game in the finals against the USA. He has also won a world championship gold medal inMadrid in 1986.In 1985 Krivokapić was selected as the best water polo player in the world by the International Swimming & Water Polo Association (
FINA ). He had played 299 games for the national water polo team of Yugoslavia and remains remembered as one of the all-time best goalies in the history of the game. After finishing his playing career he decided to stay in the sport as a coach. He coached the Belgrade's "Crvena Zvezda" for seven years and had won two national championships of Yugoslavia. Also, as the head coach of the junior national team of Yugoslavia he won numerous medals in European and world competitions. In 2002, he became the head coach of theSaudi Arabia n national water polo team.
