Earl "Chinna" Smith is a Jamaican guitarist. He is most well known for his work with the Soul Syndicate band and has recorded many reggae artists. Chinna toured and recorded most recently with Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers. Chinna also played with Bob Marley and The Wailers for the One Love Peace Concert. Chinna has more recently started to stop touring and instead working with musical youth of his community.

In 1986 Smith appeared as a member of Ernest Reed's (Jimmy Cliff) back-up band in the reggae-themed comedy "Club Paradise".

He recently recorded a full acoustic for the french label Makasound. The album is called "Earl Chinna Smith and I-Drens" and was published in the "Inna de yard" collection.
