Granada media and shows in the UK onSky1 (and repeated onSky2 andSky3 ). The presenters areBrendan Coogan ("Men and Motors "),Jon Desborough (Sky News Sportsline),Lisa Rogers ("Scrapheap Challenge "), andEmma Parker Bowles ("The Sun "'s motoring columnist). Each show runs for one hour, and features a varied mix of segments, from the "Vroom Vroom" test drive featuring (among other things)banger racing and tips for buying and selling cars.Every programme includes a regular strand presented by "The Sun"'s motoring correspondent Emma Parker Bowles who turns her hand to banger, lawn mower and mini-auto grass racing. Other contributors included segments by
Bruno Senna , nephew of late Grand Prix driverAyrton Senna and Professional Vroom Vroom Test driver Duncan Gray, a 2 times Euro Formula 3000 Champion and current SCSA V8 Trophy Racer. For season two the show received a new logo and some new segments. Brendan Coogan's 'Test Drive' section was changed, instead of the car being put through various tests, it was subjected to an unusual test, for example, the
Audi Q7 was navigated through various courses, driven by children. Another on-going experiment was to make a 1992 Mk 3Vauxhall Astra 1.6 estate go faster. The team put on a performance air filter, exhaust, stripped weight out of the car and go-faster strips...(etc...). They tested the speed of the car at Santa Pod and tried to get the Astra to travel 1 straight length in around 17 seconds and then better that time every week by adding reasonably-priced performance equipment. The aim is to make a car travel faster without paying top dollar for performance equipment. Some of the tests have proven successful. It also featured "The Cat & Mouse Challenge" where celebrities had to evade a 4.2L Jag driven by one of the country's top Banger Drivers, Steve "Cecil" Anscombe (#194At Spedeworth International Racing), & brother of the 2006 British Champion 1300 Stock Car driver, Paul Anscombe (#53, also at Spedeworth) "Episode Guide"* Series 1 8 x 45'
