It is located on the western slopes of the Kolovrat Range that divides Italy from Slovenia.
As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 173 and an area of 13.4 km².[1] According to the census 1971 97% of the population were Slovenes.[2]
Drenchia borders the following municipalities: Kanal ob Soči (Slovenia), Kobarid (Slovenia), Grimacco, Tolmin (Slovenia).Demographic evolution
