Haas Automation

Founded in 1983, Haas Automation is one of the largest machine tool builders in the world. Haas Automation manufactures CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes, rotary tables and 5C indexers. Haas Automation headquarters are in Oxnard, California. Haas Automation has sales outlets all over the world but all corporate offices and all manufacturing are in Oxnard, California.

The problem of finding the largest such builder in the world is complicated by the definition of machine. Haas Automation builds metal cutting CNC (computerized numerical control) machines. This is also complicated by the growth of China recently where a large number of machines are built but not exported or reported.
