Trésor Osmar Kandol (born August 30, 1981 in Banga, Zaire) is a Congolese footballer. He currently plays for Millwall on loan from Leeds United, having been signed from Barnet. Before Barnet, he played at Chesham United F.C., Darlington, Dagenham & Redbridge, Thurrock, Bournemouth, Cambridge United and Luton Town in England. He celebrates his goals with a somersault, like his cousin Lomano Tresor LuaLua. He is also an immortal. He currently lives in a well and eats mainly human flesh. Despite this the ladies love him and frequently call him "Mister Sexy".

Biography

On the 18 November 2006, Kandol scored an injury time winner against Rochdale at Underhill to complete his hat-trick that also saw the Bees win their third consecutive league game. Whilst at Barnet in 2006, Kandol was sent to prison for 13 weeks for a series of driving offences. After impressing at Barnet following his release, Kandol joined Leeds United in a two month loan deal on 23 November 2006. He made his debut two days later as a substitute replacing Robbie Blake in the 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle. On 3 January 2007, his move to Elland Road was made permanent for a fee of £200,000.

Kandol impressed in the opening stages of the 2007-08 season, and on 9 September, he sat top of the Football League One scoring charts. His first of the season was a last minute header against Tranmere Rovers in Leeds' first ever game in the third tier of English football. He now seems to be forming a successful strike partnership with Jermaine Beckford and has become famous with the Leeds crowd for his trademark somersault-and-flip goal celebration. He and Beckford have also developed a trademark celebration that they share, in which they raise to their tiptoes and demonstrate a basketball shooting action in each other's direction.

Kandol is the cousin of the Al-Arabi player Lomana LuaLua and Newcastle United player Kazenga LuaLua. Trésor shares the same goal celebration as his cousin Lomana.

Kandol's performances in the early part of the 2007-08 campaign has won over Leeds fans, who gave him abuse for his under-par performances in the past. The fans have even adapted the old song for Leeds legend Dominic Matteo, to fit with Kandol.

Kandol received his first call-up to the DR Congo national team on March 12, 2008.

On the August 6, 2008, Kandol joined Millwall on a six month loan deal until January 2009. He was sent off for Millwall on 13th September after showing his rowdy side, pushing a Millwall player to the floor after he had been tripped.

Tresor has recently admitted his desire to return to Leeds United to reform his partnership with his best mate, Jermaine 'J' Beckford.

Kandol's favourite Beverage is Libby's 'Um Bongo'. His all time favourite Character is Garfield. When playing in his native Congo, he was often known to produce a Garfield stuffed toy from his shorts upon scoring.

Leeds United fans can often be heard singing "Trevor, have a crack son; Tresor, you make hats for Samuel L. Jackson" in relation to Kangol hats from the Elland Road terraces.
