- Yarará (UAV)
The Yarará project is the first
unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programme in Latin America, and the first to be produced in series and for export. The system is developed byNostromo Defensa for surveillance, border patrol and reconnaissance. Unveiled at the Air Show of theArgentine Air Force ("Fuerza Aérea Argentina", FAA) on 10 August 2006. The manufacturer says it has been produced in small series for export to an unidentified customer in theUnited States .Technical specifications (as reported by manufacturer):Payload capability: 5 kg, Endurance: 4 Hrs, Wingspan: 4 Mts, Engine: 5.5 Hp gas-propelled, Range: 20 km, Cruise speed: 100 km/h
The vehicle was named after the
