USS Whitney (AD-4)

The USS Whitney (AD-4) was a United States Navy destroyer tender named for United States Secretary of the Navy William Collins Whitney. She was launched 12 October 1923, and was commissioned on 2 September 1924. She was decommissioned on 22 October 1946, later being sold for scrap to the Dulien Ship Products firm on 18 March 1948.
