Wooden sticks

Until 2007 Sher-Wood was the last ice hockey manufacturing company to produce their own wooden sticks in North America, the other companies having all offshored production to developing countries. In late 2007, Sherwood-Drolet announced that they would also move production of cheaper wooden sticks overseas to concetrate their North Amreican plants on composite sticks.
