St. Malo is a community approximately 60 kilometres south of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A community of over 1,000 predominantly bilingual speaking residents, with resources in agricultural land, which in turn support numerous enterprises. St. Malo is recognized for its tourist attractions and
farming . Agriculture and SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) play an important role in this community's economy.Saint-Malo is also home to the always expanding St.Malo Provincial Park, which boasts two beaches, challenging hiking and bicycling trails, basic to fully-serviced campsites in more than 11 bays, and many other tourist attractions. Also available to tourists is the privately-owned Debonair Campground, which offers its own sandy beach, a hot tub, seasonal and overnight campsites and much more.
Amongst many others, popular activities in Saint-Malo during the winter months are snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hockey, and ice-fishing on the lake. In February 2008, the Friends of the Park (Les amis du parc) organized its first annual Festival of Friends.
Ecole Saint-Malo School is the community's elementary and middle school and is part of the Red River Valley School Division. The school offers both a French Immersion and English programs.
