Senegal ese football club based inZiguinchor . They play in the top division in Senegalese football. Their home stadium isStade Aline Sitoe Diatta .Casa Sport has been founded in the 1970s. It derives from the well known in Senegal "Foyer des Jeunes de Casamance" in the 1960s, which later became "Casamance Sporting Club" in the late 1960s and later Casa Sports. The Club bears its name from the Southern region of Senegal (Casamance) which used to be made up of
Ziguinchor (the regional capital, pop. 250,000), Bignona, Oussouye, Kolda, Sedhiou and Velingara).Casa Sport had its glorious years from 1979 to 1984. In 1979, led by the coaching team made up of Boucar Diouf and I. Diattara, Casa Sport, for the first time, won the
Senegal FA Cup after an epic match with Dakar's famous Jaraaf de Dakar, in which they were the undergogs. In its ranks at the time there were the following forever historic names: Abdoulaye Bayo (goal keeper), Maurice Bougazelli, Mody Ba, Amadou Diouf "Pikine", Tidiane Dieme, Daour Gaye, Joseph Badiane, Demba Ramata NDiaye (cap.), Jules Francois Bocande, Moussa Diaite, Pierre Kali, Tony Coly, Bassirou NDiaye, Ousmane NDiaye Complique, Ibrahima Solo Gassama, Mamadou Teuw, Honorio MBaye as a replacement goal keeper. The Club was very well known for the dynamism and panache of its supporters who used to come in thousands with dance groups and music bands to support their favoutrite team. Some of the mascot songs of Casa Sport supporters have become a landmark of the Casamance musical folklore.Casa Sport went on again in 1980 to play the final of the Senegalese FA Cup with Jeanne d'Arc de Dakar. For the first time, the final was played twice as the teams drew 1-1 at the first game. The second game will be remembered as one of the most shameful pages of the Senegalese refereeing history as Casa Sport was made to lose thanks to a dubious penalty at the dying seconds of the game. The game ended in disarray. Following an altercation with the referee at the end of the game, several players were suspended among them
Jules Francois Bocande who was suspended from playing in Senegal for life! Five years later, the same Bocande was to come back from exile and qualify Senegal for the African Nations Cup in Cairo in 1986. In an epic qualifying game against Zimbabwe, Bocande went on to score 3 goals to qualify Senegal for the 1986 Coupe d'Afrique des Nations after 21 years not being able to qualify for the African two yearly Football Festival. Bocande's miraculous goals during that game earned him fame and respect in Senegal and across all Africa since. He went on that same year to earn the golden boot of the French Premier League under the colours of Metz. This was the first time an African player won the golden boot in a European Championnat. Casa Sport went on to play the leading roles in the Senegalese League until 1984, when it came fourth in the League and played qualifiers in the African Champion's League. After that, the Club started to experiment some difficulties due to the disturbances that started with the rebellion in Casamance.Casa Sport is still participating in the League. Due to financial difficulties and the remoteness of Ziguinchor, transport is serious problem for the club as it is finding it more and more difficult to travel to other parts of Senegal every week or two to play other teams.Current squad
