Jacó, Costa Rica

Jacó is a coastal city in Costa Rica's Puntarenas province, located on the Pacific Ocean. Jacó is approximately 1.5 hours from San José. It lies about 15 miles south of the popular Carara National Park, the city hosts several All inclusive hotels, restaurants, shops, nightclubs and discos as well as several expensive homes. Surfing draws many people to it's beaches, which are known for their consistent 3 to 4 meter surf. Unfortunately with all of the growth in the area, there has also been a huge increase in crime. Jaco is rapidly becoming a dangerous place with a lot of drug activity hopefully with increased development will come an increase in crime prevention.
