- Wagner Bull
Wagner Bull was born in 1949 started practing Aikido in 1969, and now is an
aikido teacher living inBrazil . He holds the rank of 6th dan in theAikikai and is both Technical director and President of Brazil Aikikai. He is the founder of the Instituto Takemussu. Before he began training in aikido he obtaineddan rank in bothWado-ryu karate andjudo in addition to a background inboxing .He wrote 8 books about aikido and is a weekly contributor to the São Paulo Shimbun, the most representative Japanese newspaper in Brazil. He also translated 7 books on aikido including the Portuguese edition of
Morihei Ueshiba 's Budo,Kisshomaru Ueshiba 's The Spirit of Aikido and books of the newDoshu Moriteru Ueshiba . He was supported byYoshimitsu Yamada from 1989 until 2002 when his organization was officially recognized by theAikikai Hombu Dojo and allowed to perform examinations. Was invited to teach in many places doing seminars all over Brazil, like Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, and Portugal where he has associated branches. He has two sons Alexandre and Edgar, both practice Aikido since childhood. Alexandre is now 4th Dan and is the responsible for the beginners program in the Takemussu Institute organization created by Bull Sensei in 1987 to spread Takemussu Aiki in Brazil. In June 2006 with Makoto Nishida, Wagner Bull organized the biggest Aikido ever done in all Americas with Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba having 2015 participants on a 2000 square metes mats area.He is civil engineer and postgraduate in Business Administration.
