Norcross is the chief executive of Commerce National Insurance, a subsidiary of Commerce Bancorp. He has announced that he will buy back the insurance division.

Norcross, a Rutgers University dropout and son of a union organizer, currently serves on the board of Cooper Medical Center and Commerce Bancorp.

George Norcross was previously the Chairman of the Camden County Democratic Party. His brother is the current chairman.
