Kostas Frantzeskos

Constantinos "Kostas" Frantzeskos (born January 4, 1969) is a Greek footballer, best known for his deadly free-kick accuracy. He was regarded as one of the best free-kick specialists in Europe, and was dubbed "Mr. Free-kick" by fans in Greece.

After playing for Vouliagmeni, Frantzeskos started his Football A Division career in 1991 playing for Panathinaikos. He transferred from OFI, but the greatest successes in his career he had had with PAOK. During the PAOK years he got the nickname "Mr. Foul" and become a regular in the Greek national team, scoring many decisive goals (like the one in Serajevo against Bosnia) and many others. His standout performances helped him develop a good reputation in Europe especially after having some very good European match performances with PAOK against Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Benfica and others. Although PAOK had a very good team at the time, Frantzeskos didn't win any trophies with the club. He scored a total of 54 goals in his 3 years at the club. He is remembered by the PAOK fans as one the greats in the history of the club.
