Iain McCaig is an internationally renowned and award-winning illustrator and conceptual designer. He was involved in the "
Star Wars " and "Harry Potter " film projects.After a childhood in the US and
Canada , McCaig attended school inGlasgow , and during a break came back to the US and worked on the trailer for the 1983 animated film "Twice Upon a Time ".Thereafter, he began a career in print, primarily illustrating books. His film directing debut, "The Face", has won four awards and is viewable at atomfilms.
In the Fall of 2008, a book of McCaig's work, entitled " [http://insighteditions.com/product_info.php?cPath=14&products_id=71 Shadowline] ", is scheduled.
A noted storyboard artist, McCaig worked on the films ', ', "
Bram Stoker's Dracula ", and one of the "Dinotopia " productions.Other examples of his work include album covers for
Jethro Tull and a compilation ofDoctor Who theme music, costume design for a newStar Trek semi-pro/fan film, illustrations forFighting Fantasy , theJ.R.R. Tolkien estate,Marvel comics , and re-designing a stained glass window atSkywalker Ranch .McCaig's daughter Mishi is also a film artist, having contributed to "Iron Man", "
