Kate Carr

Kate Carr

Kate Carr formerly served as president and CEO of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, a nonprofit organization in the United States that invests in the research, development, and implementation of potential breakthrough therapies. Before joining Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, Carr was president and CEO of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and she led the organization through an international expansion that advanced the fight against AIDS among children. Previously, Carr was the chief operating officer for the Welfare to Work Partnership. She also served as a special assistant to President Bill Clinton in the White House, overseeing outreach and partnerships with the business community.

She is married to Milton Robert Carr (Bob Carr), a former member of the U.S. Congress from Michigan and has three children -- Jennifer, Christopher, and Alexandra.

Other similar charities include Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, whose mission is to find the cause and cure of children's brain tumors.
