Montebello High School has an enrollment of approximately 3400 students and a staff of 121 teachers. Montebello's mascot is the Oilers.
Montebello High School now offers the CATS Pathway, which teaches students how to be creative media artists and animators and the DRIVEN Pathway, which focuses on students learning about ergo alternative fuels and the automotive industry for future green jobs.

Edward James Olmos (Born February 24, 1947; Class of '64), American Actor and Director. Most Notable for his role as Jaime Escalante in the film Stand and Deliver[3] (1988). He has also recently starred in Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008) and Green Hornet (2011).
