Exsultate, jubilate

"Exsultate, Jubilate" K. 165, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was written in 1773.

This religious solo motet was composed at the time Mozart was visiting Milan. [cite web

accessdate=2008-02-27] It was written for the castrato Venanzio Rauzzini, Mozart's favourite for his operas. In modern times, it is usually sung by a soprano.

It is divided into three parts:

#"Allegro"
#"Andante"
#"Allegro"

The final allegro section is an outstanding and cheerful "Alleluia".
