Joey Kitson

Joey Kitson

Joey Kitson from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island was the three-time ECMA Award winning vocalist for Rawlins Cross. He is currently a featured lead in the Charlottetown Festival's production of British Invasion at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Kitson can also be seen as 'Cecil the farmer' in the 2007 production of Anne of Green Gables.

Previously, in 2006 Kitson starred alongside Matt Minglewood & Terry Hatty in the Charlottetown Festival's 2 year run of Canada Rocks at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Joe Kitson is no stranger to the bright lights of the mainstage, having performed in some of Prince Edward Islands biggest bands (Rock Island Blues Band, Black Cat Bone (band), Poppa Shine, Jive Kings and Big City, to name a few) as well as being a Juno Award nominee & a three-time ECMA award winner for his tenure in Rawlins Cross.

Mr.Kitson has recently been heard with Canadian piano phenom Doug Riley (Bob Seger, Ray Charles, Ringo Starr, Gordon Lightfoot). Riley, who is affectionately known as 'Dr. Music' has recently been awarded the Order of Canada. Riley’s addition of Joey Kitson to his Jazz Trio is yet another highlight in what is sure to be a long and distinguished musical career, from one of PEI’s most celebrated vocalists.
