Route 1A (Prince Edward Island)

There are two highways designated as Route 1A in Prince Edward Island.

Prince County

Route 1A in Prince County is a 20 kilometre long uncontrolled access 2-lane secondary highway with a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h (55 mph). It functions as the primary connector from Summerside to the Trans-Canada Highway and the Confederation Bridge.

Route 1A passes through:

* Route 1 interchange at Albany
* Central Bedeque
* Route 2 interchange at Travellers Rest (northeast of Summerside)

Queens County

Route 1A in Queens County is a 15 kilometre long uncontrolled access 2-lane collector highway with a maximum speed limit of 80 km/h (50 mph). It is a former alignment of Route 1 (the Trans-Canada Highway) east of Charlottetown and is known locally as the Pownal Road.

Route 1A starts at an intersection with Route 1 in the former community of Cross Roads (now amalgamated into the town of Stratford) and ends at an intersection with Route 1 east of the community of Pownal.
