Suanne Braun (born
29 February 1968 ) is an actress fromSouth Africa currently living inLondon ,England .Suanne made her professional debut in 1988 working as a TV presenter in her native South Africa. For five years she hosted a travel series "Bon Voyage" for which she travelled to numerous countries. A number of TV specials followed including presenting the Miss World Pageant twice in 1992 and 1994. After a visit to the USA, Suanne was signed by the William Morris agency and decided to stay in the country for some time. She has appeared in a number of American television shows and theatre productions.
Theatre credits include "Private Lives" for which she was [ [http://www.news24.com/News24/Archive/0,,2-1659_1058325,00.html] nominated for Best Supporting Actress] , "Things We Do For Love", "The Secret Lives Of Henry And Alice", "Echoes", "Offbeat Broadway", "Nunsense" and most recently "Easy To Love - The Cole Porter Story" in which Suanne played Cole Porter's wife - Linda Porter.
Suanne currently lives in London. In 2002 she recorded a cover version of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" for a compilation album- The Best Of Passion Jazz, Volume 2.
Suanne co-presented
Miss South Africa andMiss World for three consecutive years in the early 1990s, and received the People's Choice award for South Africa's most beautiful woman in 1993.Suanne played the role of Hathor in Stargate SG-1 in 1997, and was performing the role of Tanya in the London West End production of "
Mamma Mia! " until March 2007.In 2008 Suanne completed her one woman show to critical acclaim and has just completed a new sketch comedy television show for British television.
